On August 11, 2006, the Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods of DKSH Australia signed an agreement with Star Track Express to take over the delivery of goods from the existing service provider. Star Track Express is a subsidiary of Australia Post and Qantas with cutting-edge track and trace, service quality monitoring and customer servicing systems that ensure a less than 1% service failure rate measured over ten individual quality variables. This agreement will produce a considerable reduction in transportation costs and thereby increase profitability.
The new partnership will improve our service level to customers and result in less misdirected freight. An automatic high-speed sorting system will mean fewer breakages due to minimal manual handling and more efficient delivery, thanks to Star Track Express' ownership of 23 company facilities and a further 24 major agencies. Australia-wide deliveries are made by 830 company-owned vehicles.
