DKSH Luxury Watches takes to the skies

In the land down under, equipped with branded flying jackets and aviator sunglasses to boot, DKSH Luxury Watches once again played host to the annual Breitling Instruments for Professionals seminar for 2009. The conference is a key date in the Breitling calendar as it is serves to provide a tangible platform with which to showcase the new release Breitling novelties heading out of Switzerland.
In keeping with the seamless link between Breitling and the aviation industry, this year's seminar brought both media and retail staff together in a massive three day Air Action event held at Cessnock Airport in the Hunter Valley, about two hours north of Sydney.
This year's event opened with a stunning Sydney Seaplanes entrance by the media, followed by the arrival forty retailers from across Australia and New Zealand, and was set to be a unique experience for all attending. Stylishly set inside an enormous aircraft hangar, conferencing and banqueting facilities were set among Jet Fighters, Warbirds and Vintage aircraft, providing both an engaging place to learn as well as the opportunity to experience first-hand the thrill of aviation.
Breitling this year also hosted a guest speaker, Mr. Brian Jones, one of the balloon pilots who made history in 1999 by completing the world's first nonstop round-the-world hot-air balloon flight in the majestic Breitling Orbiter 3. Brian took time out of this year's round-the-world tour, scheduled commemorating the 10th anniversary of his achievment, and joined the event for the full three days. Delegates were awed by a very powerful speech and a detailed presentation recalling the high's and low's of his amazing accomplishment, and two lucky people enjoyed a dawn flight over the hunter valley in a replica balloon piloted by the great man himself!
With the hard work over, the closing of the seminar served to be an action packed day of flying for everyone who attended. From pleasure flights in WW2 Tigermoths to stunning acrobatic maneuvers in the Pitt Specials, "dog-fighting" flights in the formidable Yak-52 fighters and four lucky delgates took to the skies to feel the "G" in a modern day Soviet L-39 Albatross Fighter Jet. Smiling faces were either red with sunburn or green with sickness as Breitling wished them a safe and pleasant journey home.
